NBZ is a registered NPO & PBO and has been in operation since 2001. We provide safe care and residential care for abandoned, abused, neglected babies and sometimes toddlers. We do prevention and early intervention work with OVC's in the various surrounding communities.

The Suitcase Project is an innovative arts-based therapeutic programme for migrant and refugee children and their families, most of whom are living in the inner city areas of Johannesburg. Because of a number of political, social and economic factors as well as wide spread xenophobia, these children and their caregivers effectively are denied the right to basic food security, shelter, education and health services.
